About Us

GM Freediving is an AIDA school run by Roberto Guzmán, Mexican athlete and AIDA instructor based in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. All coaching and instruction is offered in both English and Spanish.

Every day we dive in the amazing cenotes of the Yucatan Peninsula. These are fresh water sinkholes with nice temperature (25° C, 77° F), crystal clear water and underwater formations that make them unique in the world to practice freediving.

Our goal is to promote this beautiful sport by creating new certified freedivers and also to improve the skills of the already experienced divers, while having the most fun and enjoying the beauty of the cenotes.

The mix of Roberto’s background as a competitive swimmer along with being a strong chess player is the perfect combination of aquatic skills, sport knowledge and strategic mind to help you become a better freediver.

Whether you are interested in being more comfortable underwater or want to go deeper down the line, this is the perfect place for you.
